Here at The Grand we believe that the arts of theatre, music and dance are best experienced live.  Sitting in the front row and watching a musician’s hands or an actor’s eyes cannot be replaced by the newest high definition TV or an album recorded in a studio.  The experience of live performance is at the heart of our culture: telling a story, holding an audience captive, creating a moment that connects person to person.  You can’t pause it and if you leave the room you’re going to miss something.  No where in Hancock County is this experience brought to you more often or with more diversity than right here at The Grand.    We need your support in our ever growing mission to bring the world to you – not in a box, but in person.

The Grand is one of the busiest arts organizations in the state, each year we: Show 60 award winning, independent, arts and foreign films. Offer diverse arts programming to over 3,000 area students, with our Performing Arts for Children Series. Present live music from upcoming artists and old favorites in concert year round. Bring the best of community theatre to our stage, producing at least two musicals and a play, with open auditions. Foster arts development through hands on educational programs for all ages, monthly. Run The Grand Summer Theatre Camp each summer. Serve as a community center to our over 50,000 patrons.

Ticket sales to these events only cover 60% of our operating costs, we need you to help with the rest!
